Why Subscribe to Reluctant Optimist?

I’m not going to tell you to stick around and see what I have to say, but I can tell you that I want to create a life that I love. I want to become something I’m proud of.

The Reluctant Optimist is about my uncanny ability to keep trying even when life knocks me down. I’ve been extremely lucky in so many ways, and in other ways I’ve had not-so-great luck. But I want to make the best of this This thing called life.

If you’re looking for ideas, especially weird ideas on all the things, then you’re probably in the right place. I love philosophy. I’m a huge proponent of personal development. Also, if you like thoughts and sarcasm, especially thoughts about sarcasm and sarcasm about thoughts, then we’ll do that too.

“Reluctant Optimist” is a You see how bad things can get — you’ve seen how bad they have gotten — and you still can’t quite stop believing it’s worth trying. If you’ve ever talked yourself into something and immediately questioned why, you already understand the operating mode around here.... I can only promise more questions than answers and zero apologies about that.
